The renewed agreement, announced on Oct. 23, 2026, builds on the partnership that began when SEZ commenced commercial operations in October 2003. SEZ is a wholly owned subsidiary of AboitizPower.
The announcement was made during the “Powering Subic’s Next Chapter: SBMA-Subic EnerZone Renewed Partnership Launch” at Ayala Triangle Gardens 2 in Makati City.
The partnership aims to improve power reliability, expand grid capacity and ensure that electricity infrastructure can accommodate future investments and developments in the Freeport Zone.
