Mariveles, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) took part in the CICAC General Assembly on 19 March 2026 at Diamond Hotel Manila, joining key players from the country’s trade sector in advancing discussions on trade facilitation and industry collaboration.

The gathering convened representatives from government agencies, industry groups, and private sector partners to address current challenges and identify opportunities to improve the country’s trade environment.

Representing AFAB were Francis Anthony B. Emata, Manager of the FAB Enterprise Assistance Division (EAD), and Reprym Lloyd Mendoza, Document Examiner III. The delegation contributed to discussions on emerging industry trends and operational concerns affecting the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

AFAB’s participation underscores its commitment to strengthening regulatory efficiency and enhancing the ease of doing business within the ecozone. Insights gained from the assembly are expected to support ongoing initiatives to streamline processes and improve services for locators and stakeholders in FAB.

The event also provided an avenue for meaningful dialogue and stronger collaboration among stakeholders, reinforcing shared efforts to build a more responsive, transparent, and business-friendly trade ecosystem.

AFAB continues to engage with partner institutions and industry leaders in pursuit of sustainable growth and improved trade facilitation in the Freeport Area of Bataan.
