MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) planted around 1,000 tree seedlings across various locations in the Freeport on June 25 in observance of Arbor Day, reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection and climate action.
The tree-planting activity gathered AFAB employees and representatives from various Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) enterprises, who participated in the initiative to promote ecological sustainability and strengthen efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.

AFAB said the activity forms part of its continuing environmental programs aimed at preserving the Freeport’s natural resources while encouraging stakeholders to take an active role in maintaining a clean, green, and sustainable environment.
The agency noted that environmental stewardship remains an integral component of its development agenda as it pursues responsible industrial growth alongside conservation initiatives.
Through programs such as the Arbor Day tree-planting activity, AFAB continues to reinforce its commitment to sustainable development and ensuring that the benefits of a healthy environment are preserved for both present and future generations.
