Mariveles, Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) continues to enhance trade facilitation and ease of doing business within the Freeport through closer engagement with enterprises and logistics stakeholders.

On June 9, 2026, the AFAB Enterprise Department–Enterprise Assistance Division (FED-EAD) convened its Annual Mid-Year Briefing for registered enterprises, accredited customs brokers, scrappers, and freight forwarders to discuss key developments affecting business operations, customs processes, and the movement of goods within the Freeport.

The briefing served as an important venue for stakeholders to receive updates on enterprise assistance services, compliance requirements, and operational procedures designed to support efficient and seamless trade activities.

AFAB officials highlighted the agency’s commitment to maintaining a responsive business environment by ensuring that enterprises and service providers remain informed of regulatory requirements and emerging operational concerns.

The event also provided participants with an opportunity to raise concerns, seek clarifications, and strengthen coordination with AFAB on matters related to customs clearance, cargo handling, logistics, and other trade-related services.

By fostering open communication and collaboration with industry partners, AFAB aims to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and facilitate the efficient flow of goods that is critical to sustaining business growth and investment within the Freeport Area of Bataan.

The annual briefing reflects AFAB’s broader strategy of supporting a competitive and investor-friendly economic zone, where government and the private sector work together to enhance productivity, compliance, and operational efficiency.

As trade and logistics activities continue to expand, AFAB remains focused on developing policies and initiatives that strengthen the Freeport’s position as a strategic hub for commerce, manufacturing, and investment in Central Luzon.
