Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon conducted back-to-back inspections of two bypass road projects in the province of Tarlac on April 9, 2026, in line with the President’s directive to ensure the efficient and continuous implementation of infrastructure projects that will help ease travel for motorists.

Among the projects inspected were the Estrada–Navy–New Clark City Bypass Road located in the municipalities of Capas and Concepcion, and the Concepcion–Bamban Bypass Road in Bamban. Both roads are also designed to function as farm-to-market roads, aimed at improving the transport of agricultural products from rural areas to local markets.

According to Secretary Dizon, these infrastructure projects are also intended to provide alternative routes leading to the province’s commercial areas, thereby reducing travel time and helping motorists save on fuel costs amid the continuing rise in fuel prices nationwide.

The two bypass road projects are expected to be completed next year.
