IBA, ZAMBALES — A vibrant and festive atmosphere marked the grand opening of Dinamulag Festival 2026, led by Governor Hermogenes “Jun” Ebdanen Jr., celebrating the province’s rich cultural heritage and its world-renowned sweet mangoes.

The festivities began with a strong display of unity and energy as more than 5,000 Zambaleños participated in the Color Fun Run, setting the tone for a week-long celebration. The event was followed by a lively Zumba session, bringing together participants in a shared spirit of wellness, joy, and community.

Governor Ebdane was joined by Vice Governor Jaqueline Rose Khonghun, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and provincial department heads, all demonstrating full support for initiatives that strengthen unity and promote local pride among Zambaleños.

The celebration continued at the Zambales Sports Complex with the Mango Eating Challenge, where participants eagerly took part in showcasing and savoring the province’s famously sweet Dinamulag mangoes—highlighting one of Zambales’ most prized agricultural products.

Adding to the excitement, the Dinamulag Mango Cooking Challenge was held at the Micro Asia College of Science and Technology (MACSAT), where ten participants competed in creating innovative mango-based dishes. The event, organized by the Provincial Government of Zambales in partnership with TESDA-Zambales, highlighted the creativity and culinary excellence of local talents.

Further strengthening public service initiatives, Governor Ebdane also led the inauguration of the new ZPPO Firing Range at Camp Captain Conrado D. Yap in Iba, together with Zambales 2nd District Board Member Rundy Ebdane. The ceremony was followed by the 3rd Governor’s Cup ShootFest, participated in by law enforcement personnel and officials including Police Director Benjamin Arriola and PDRRMO representative Rolex Estella. The new facility is expected to enhance the training and preparedness of police personnel, contributing to stronger peace and order in the province.

The successful opening of Dinamulag Festival 2026 reflects the collective efforts of the provincial government and its people in preserving cultural traditions, promoting tourism, and advancing local industries. With more activities lined up, the festival invites everyone to take part, celebrate, and experience the sweetness and pride of Zambales through its iconic Dinamulag mango.
