With Hausland Holdings coming on board, the program continues to strengthen its network of advocates from the private sector, recognizing the crucial role businesses play in environmental conservation and community development.
Since its launch, the ABACAN Program has sustained monthly clean-up activities conducted every third Saturday, drawing active participation from partner organizations committed to restoring and maintaining the health of the river ecosystem. To date, 10 organizations have joined the initiative, contributing manpower, resources, and advocacy support.
The program was pioneered by Balibago Waterworks and the Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (MACCII), led by its president, Elizabeth Carlos-Timbol. Together, they have championed efforts to engage communities, institutions, and businesses in protecting waterways that serve as essential sources of water and life.
Officials said the addition of Hausland Holdings reflects the growing recognition among private enterprises that environmental sustainability is a shared responsibility and an investment in the well-being of future generations.
As the ABACAN Program expands, organizers hope to inspire more organizations to participate in conservation activities and support initiatives that promote cleaner rivers, healthier communities, and sustainable water resources across Pampanga.
