HERMOSA, Bataan — The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay A. Rivera in the Municipality of Hermosa has earned national recognition after being named a National Finalist in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for the Philippines Awards 2026 during the awarding ceremony held on June 27, 2026, in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The prestigious recognition highlights the outstanding efforts of the SK in advancing youth-led programs that contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through community development, environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.

The award reflects the collective commitment of the youth of Barangay A. Rivera to implementing meaningful initiatives that create lasting and positive change within their community.
SK Chairman Christian Santos was recognized for his leadership in spearheading programs that have empowered young people and encouraged active participation in nation-building at the grassroots level.
Hermosa Mayor Anne Adorable-Inton congratulated the SK and the entire Barangay A. Rivera community for bringing pride and honor to the municipality.
The Municipality of Hermosa also commended the unwavering support of the barangay officials, volunteers, and residents whose collaboration helped make the SK’s sustainable development initiatives successful.
