SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Access to financial services and livelihood opportunities is set to improve for farmers and fisherfolk in San Antonio, Zambales as LANDBANK rolled out its AGRISENSO PLUS ASCEND Program in partnership with the local government and agricultural sector stakeholders.
The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between rural communities and financial institutions by providing farmers and fisherfolk with easier access to credit facilities, livelihood support programs, and other services designed to help increase productivity and income.
Local officials led by Mayor Arvin “Dok” Antipolo welcomed the program, emphasizing the importance of empowering agricultural workers who play a vital role in ensuring food security and sustaining the local economy.
The Municipal Agriculture Office, headed by Jenny Babe Caabay, together with SBM Deo Delos Reyes and Corazon Zamora, joined LANDBANK representatives in promoting the initiative among agricultural stakeholders.

Officials said the program is expected to help beneficiaries expand their farming and fishing operations, improve access to capital, and build more resilient livelihoods amid evolving economic and environmental challenges.
Through the partnership, LANDBANK and the LGU aim to create greater economic opportunities in rural communities while supporting the long-term growth of San Antonio’s agriculture and fisheries sectors.
