SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Mayor Arvin Antipolo spearheaded a series of meetings, project presentations, and development initiatives under the banner of “#SerbisyongANTIPOLO,” highlighting the local government’s continuing efforts to strengthen public service, economic growth, infrastructure development, and community welfare.
Among the major initiatives conducted was the distribution of free rice assistance made possible through the support of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in coordination with the Provincial Government of Zambales headed by Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr.. The activity was facilitated with the assistance of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Gladz Albarda to help provide support to residents affected by economic challenges.
Mayor Antipolo also welcomed representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), led by Alex Paulo, for the presentation of PROJECT METRO, a digital monitoring program aimed at improving market monitoring systems and strengthening coordination between the local government and market vendors.

In support of digital transformation in local commerce, the local government likewise hosted the presentation and launching preparations for the PALENG-QR-PH project in partnership with representatives from market vendors, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), DTI, and the LGU San Antonio. The initiative seeks to encourage cashless transactions and modernize payment systems in public markets.
A proposal from the religious sector, led by Tita Veronica Lorenzana and SAMA President Pastor Federico Agasa, was also presented to Mayor Antipolo for a planned Guinness World Record attempt involving the laying down of a massive Philippine flag along the beach area of San Miguel, San Antonio. Organizers said the proposed activity aims to promote patriotism, tourism, and unity among residents.
Development planning discussions were likewise conducted between Mayor Antipolo, Dr. Arturo Mendoza, former Chief of James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital, and Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) representative Engr. Jason Paje regarding proposed infrastructure and development projects for the municipality.
The mayor also met with a dance group composed of talented youth from San Antonio who are preparing to compete in the World Dance Championship in San Diego, California this coming June. The meeting, assisted by Jomar Oliva Ragadio, focused on preparations and support for the delegation representing the municipality in the international competition.
Meanwhile, updates regarding leasehold projects and investment developments in San Antonio were discussed during a coordination meeting with Subic West Corporation and Municipal Sanitation Officer Guillermo Dizon Jr.
As part of efforts to support maritime security initiatives, Mayor Antipolo also participated in a coordination meeting and site inspection with the PNP Maritime Regional Office regarding the proposed transfer of the PNP Maritime National Headquarters to San Antonio. The activity was attended by members of the Regional Advisory Group together with MENRO representative Architect Jeffrey Roxas, also known as “Arki Red.”
To further strengthen local governance and development planning, Mayor Antipolo led the Strategic Planning session for the formulation of the 2027 Annual Investment Plan (AIP) together with department heads, office heads, representatives from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Civil Society Organizations, and the Department of Education.
Mayor Antipolo emphasized the importance of collaboration among government agencies, private stakeholders, and community organizations in advancing programs that will benefit the people of San Antonio.
The series of activities reflects the continued commitment of the municipal government under the #SerbisyongANTIPOLO program to deliver responsive governance, inclusive growth, and sustainable development for the municipality.
