Over 400 residents of Barangay Sta. Rita received free healthcare services during a two-day medical, dental, and surgical mission organized by Aboitiz Renewables and Olongapo Solar Power Plant, in partnership with government agencies and community volunteers.
OLONGAPO CITY — More than 400 residents of Barangay Sta. Rita benefitted from a two-day free healthcare mission conducted by Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. and the Olongapo Solar Power Plant on April 25 and 26, 2026, in partnership with the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3), the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), and local volunteer groups.
The initiative aimed to provide accessible medical, dental, and minor surgical services to community members, particularly those facing financial and logistical challenges in seeking healthcare.

The outreach began with “I Am Ready: Operation Tuli 2026,” where 138 young boys safely underwent circumcision procedures on the first day. On the second day, the program continued through “Para sa Malusog na Olongapo: Medical and Dental Mission,” delivering medical consultations to 108 residents and dental services to 160 individuals.
A team of doctors and nurses, supported by volunteers from Barangay Gordon Heights and the Barangay Public Assistance and Traffic Services (BPATS) of Sta. Rita, ensured the smooth implementation of the activity, allowing organizers to reach a wider segment of the community.
The health mission was organized to bring essential services directly to residents, eliminating the need for costly travel to hospitals or clinics and helping improve overall community wellness.
For beneficiaries like 70-year-old retiree Osmeña Moises, the initiative provided much-needed support.
“Retirado na po ako at wala akong pensyon, kaya sa mga medical mission ako umaasa para sa aking mga pangangailangang medikal. Dito lang po ako nakakaraos at patuloy na nakakainom ng aking mga maintenance na gamot,” she shared, expressing gratitude for the accessible services.
According to Sharron Manzano, Stakeholder Relations and Permitting Manager of Aboitiz Renewables, the activity reflects the company’s commitment to supporting its host communities.
“Aboitiz Renewables and the Olongapo Solar Power Plant are dedicated to helping Barangay Sta. Rita through initiatives that provide direct relief and improve local access to healthcare. This is not the last project we will have in and for Barangay Sta. Rita,” Manzano said.
The initiative highlights the continuing partnership between the company and the local community, demonstrating how renewable energy stakeholders can contribute not only to sustainable power generation but also to improved quality of life for residents.
