Meanwhile, in Santa Maria, Bulacan, operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Santa Maria Municipal Police Station, together with personnel from the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, Bulacan PIT East, RIU3, and PDEA Bulacan, arrested two suspects identified as alias “Payo” and alias “Michelle” during another anti-drug operation conducted in Barangay Camangyanan.

Confiscated from the suspects were approximately 55 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php374,000, including marked money used in the operation.

All arrested suspects are now under police custody while charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.

PRO3 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for the successful operations and reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to intensifying intelligence-driven anti-illegal drug campaigns across Central Luzon.

“These successful operations reflect our strengthened campaign against illegal drugs and our continued commitment to maintaining safe and peaceful communities,” Mendez said. (Jason de Asis)
