OLONGAPO CITY — The Olongapo City Government honored its partner agencies and offices for their invaluable contributions to disaster preparedness and emergency response during the “Lingkod Bayan Para sa Kaligtasan: DRRM Partner Agencies Recognition Program” held on July 1 at the Mansion Garden Hotel in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
The recognition program was led by Mayor Atty. Rolen C. Paulino Jr. in partnership with the Olongapo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO). It recognized government agencies, organizations, and local offices that have consistently supported the city’s disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) initiatives.
According to Jeffrey Lapid CDRRMO head, the program aims to acknowledge the dedication and cooperation of partner agencies whose continued assistance has strengthened Olongapo City’s capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and other emergencies.

In his message, Mayor Paulino emphasized that while rescuers and emergency responders are often recognized for their heroism and sacrifices, the success of the city’s DRRM programs and operations is equally made possible through the steadfast support of partner agencies and collaborating offices.
He noted that disaster resilience is built through strong partnerships, coordinated action, and shared responsibility among government institutions and stakeholders.
City officials said the recognition program also served as an opportunity to reinforce collaboration and encourage continued cooperation in advancing disaster preparedness and public safety. They expressed gratitude to all partner agencies for their commitment to helping build a safer, more resilient Olongapo City capable of responding effectively to future emergencies and disasters.
