SAN FERNANDO CITY, PAMPANGA — AboitizPower is strengthening its community development efforts through livelihood and skills-building initiatives for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), earning recognition from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region III for its support to rehabilitation and reintegration programs.
AboitizPower, through its private limited partnerships GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin (GNPD), was named a special awardee during the BJMP Region III’s 35th Anniversary celebration on July 29, 2026.
The recognition highlighted the company’s partnership with BJMP Mariveles under Project HOPE, an aquaponics-based livelihood initiative designed to provide PDLs with practical skills in food production, sustainability, and enterprise development.

Project HOPE integrates fish production and vegetable cultivation through an aquaponics system, creating a sustainable source of food while giving participants hands-on training that could help prepare them for productive livelihoods after their release.
