SUBIC, Zambales — Multi-use facility shipyard operator Agila Subic Compass, Inc. (Agila Subic) has formalized a landmark partnership with the Department of Education Schools Division Office (SDO) Zambales through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) under the government’s “Adopt-a-School” program, committing P30 million over the next two years to support infrastructure development and educational improvements in nine public schools in Cawag, Subic, Zambales.
The MOA signing, recently held at Subic Central School, marks a major step in Agila Subic’s long-term commitment to empowering host communities through accessible and quality education.
Through the initiative, Agila Subic will fund the construction of new classrooms and school buildings, rehabilitation of existing facilities, and the provision of essential school furniture and equipment for nine beneficiary schools in the Cawag area: Agusuhin Elementary School-Annex, Agusuhin Elementary School, Agusuhin High School, Cawag Elementary School, Cawag Elementary School (Resettlement), Cawag High School (Resettlement), Cabitaugan Integrated School, Nagyantok Elementary School, and Nagyantok High School.
“It is truly an honor for us to formalize this partnership, which we believe will create a meaningful and lasting impact on our teachers and, most importantly, our students,” said Mark Millan, General Manager of Agila Subic.
“We will provide different forms of support based on the specific needs identified by each school. In this way, we can ensure that the assistance we provide will be relevant, responsive, and beneficial to the day-to-day needs of our students,” he added.
Representing DepEd SDO Zambales, William Roderic Fallorin expressed gratitude for the company’s strong commitment to the local education sector.
“This P30 million investment in the future of Zambaleño learners is a significant step for us, especially for the schools in the Cawag group. It’s not just about school buildings—it’s about addressing the pressing needs that truly matter in local education,” Fallorin said.
