SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs (BOC)–Port of Subic reinforced its partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) following a courtesy call by newly designated District Collector Atty. Geniefelle P. Lagmay to SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño.

The meeting formed part of efforts to further enhance coordination between the two agencies in support of efficient port operations, trade facilitation, and border protection within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

District Collector Lagmay was joined by outgoing Collector Director Saulong and members of the BOC–Port of Subic team during the visit.

Officials from both agencies discussed matters concerning the uninterrupted movement of cargo, operational coordination, and programs aimed at strengthening investor confidence and economic activities in the Freeport.

Chairman Aliño welcomed the new district collector and underscored the importance of continued collaboration between SBMA and the Bureau of Customs in sustaining efficient and secure trade operations in Subic.

Meanwhile, District Collector Lagmay expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the SBMA leadership and reaffirmed the Port of Subic’s commitment to transparency, professionalism, and quality public service.

The courtesy meeting also reflected the Bureau of Customs’ broader initiative to strengthen stakeholder relations and institutional cooperation while improving operational efficiency and governance.

The BOC–Port of Subic remains committed to facilitating lawful trade, safeguarding national borders, and promoting responsivegovernment service through strong partnerships with key agencies and stakeholders in the Freeport.
