CLARK, PAMPANGA — A rich blend of tradition, culture, and culinary creativity took center stage as Clark formally opened its Filipino Food Month celebration on April 7, 2026, at Nayong Pilipino Clark.

With the theme “Pamangan: Pamana Qñg Dulang, Savor the Flavors of Metro Clark,” the kickoff event gathered local government units and culinary stakeholders from Angeles City, Mabalacat City, Porac, Pampanga, and Capas, Tarlac to highlight the region’s diverse food heritage.

Guests experienced a wide array of dishes that reflected both history and identity—from well-loved Kapampangan specialties such as sisig and bringhe traditionally served in clay pots, to the time-honored ritual of preparing suklati batirol. Each offering underscored the deep-rooted culinary traditions of Central Luzon.

Complementing these heritage dishes were modern interpretations prepared by Clark’s leading hotels, demonstrating how local flavors continue to evolve within the region’s dynamic hospitality scene.

Cultural performances added energy to the event, drawing the community together and reinforcing the role of food as a unifying force. Organizers emphasized that the celebration goes beyond cuisine, serving as a platform to preserve traditions, promote local tourism, and strengthen cultural identity.

The event signals the start of a series of activities throughout April in line with Filipino Food Month, highlighting Clark’s position as a hub for both heritage and contemporary gastronomy.
