DINGALAN, Aurora – The Central Luzon Media Association (CLMA) successfully held its 2nd Directorate Meeting on July 24–25 at Mics Beach Resort in Purok 5, Barangay Cabog-Matawe, Dingalan, Aurora, where officers and directors finalized preparations for the association’s upcoming events in line with the CLMA Anniversary Celebration in September.
The meeting gathered media practitioners and CLMA leaders from across Central Luzon to discuss plans for the anniversary celebration, organizational programs, and initiatives that will further strengthen camaraderie and professionalism among media organizations in the region.
The event was hosted by Mics Beach Resort, one of Dingalan’s newest beachfront destinations owned by Sixto Mallari, a native of Arayat, Pampanga. Mallari welcomed the delegates and shared the inspiring story behind the establishment of the resort.
Construction of Mics Beach Resort began in August 2025 and was completed in February 2026, with the resort officially opening its doors to guests in March 2026. Built on a property that once housed a resort destroyed by a powerful typhoon, the area has been transformed into a peaceful seaside destination while preserving the natural beauty of Dingalan.
Mallari said he discovered Dingalan in 2022 while searching for investment opportunities after visiting several locations in Bataan and Zambales. He was immediately captivated by the town’s untouched coastline, calm beaches, and enormous tourism potential.
Today, Mics Beach Resort offers 14 operational guest rooms, with 16 rooms available upon full completion. Room rates range from ₱5,500 to ₱8,500, making the resort an ideal destination for families, couples, corporate groups, and weekend travelers.
One of the resort’s unique attractions is its calm and swimmable beachfront. Unlike many nearby beaches with strong currents and rocky coastlines, Mics Beach Resort provides a safer and more relaxing environment for guests. The resort also offers complimentary drinking water and continues to expand its facilities and amenities.
The name “MICS” was inspired by the initials of Mallari’s children, reflecting the family’s dedication to creating a welcoming destination where visitors can enjoy nature and quality time together.
Following the directorate meeting, CLMA officers and members, embarked on a familiarization tour of Dingalan’s top eco-tourism attractions. One of the highlights of the tour was the visit to the municipality’s iconic “Batanes of the East,” where the delegates were treated to breathtaking panoramic views of rolling green hills overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean. The scenic landscape, often compared to the famous vistas of Batanes, impressed the visiting journalists and content creators, providing countless opportunities for photography and showcasing Dingalan’s unique natural beauty.
The group also explored several of Dingalan’s hidden natural attractions, including Abungan Falls, Tanawan Falls, and Laktas Falls, where cascading waters and lush forests offered a refreshing retreat for nature lovers. Another memorable stop was the pristine Lipit River, whose crystal-clear waters provided the perfect setting for swimming, relaxation, and appreciation of the town’s unspoiled environment.
Adding excitement to the eco-tourism experience, the delegates rode locally operated 4×4 “Tora-Tora” and “Pallmall” vehicles, navigating rugged mountain trails leading to the waterfalls and Lipit River. The off-road adventure has become one of Dingalan’s signature tourism activities, attracting adventure seekers from across the country.
Mallari also highlighted ongoing road infrastructure projects connecting Aurora with Bulacan and other parts of Central Luzon. Once completed, these roads are expected to significantly reduce travel time from Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, making Dingalan more accessible to tourists and investors.
Surrounded by the majestic Sierra Madre mountain range and facing the Pacific Ocean, Dingalan continues to emerge as one of Aurora’s premier eco-tourism destinations. With its pristine beaches, scenic mountain landscapes, waterfalls, rivers, and growing tourism facilities such as Mics Beach Resort, the municipality offers visitors a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and nature.
As CLMA prepares for its anniversary celebration this September, the successful conduct of its 2nd Directorate Meeting and the familiarization tour underscored the association’s commitment to promoting local tourism while strengthening partnerships among media organizations throughout Central Luzon.
