CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A high-value drug personality (HVI) was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in San Rafael, Bulacan late Monday night, April 27, 2026, authorities said.
In a statement on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, the suspect, a 59-year-old man listed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), was apprehended at around 10:40 PM in Barangay Capihan during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Doña Remedios Trinidad Municipal Police Station, in coordination with PDEA.

Operatives seized approximately 158 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php1,079,160. Also recovered were the marked buy-bust money and a black belt bag allegedly used in the transaction.
The suspect and the confiscated evidence were brought to the Doña Remedios Trinidad Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against the suspect.
Police Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), said the arrest underscores the intensified campaign of law enforcement against illegal drugs in line with the Philippine National Police’s focused agenda.
“Patuloy ang ating pinaigting na kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga. Hindi natin hahayaang makapaminsala sa ating mga komunidad ang mga high-value targets,” Mendez said.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting police efforts by reporting suspicious activities.
PRO3 assured that sustained anti-illegal drug operations will continue as part of its commitment to maintaining peace and order across Central Luzon. (Jason de Asis)
