The meeting highlighted Subic Bay’s strategic role within the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC), positioning the Freeport as an ideal hub for logistics, manufacturing, and regional commerce due to its modern port facilities, investment incentives, and proximity to major Asian markets.

Ambassador Sumitmor reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations with the Philippines and expressed interest in fostering stronger business partnerships between Thai and Philippine companies.

Chairman Aliño welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that Subic Bay continues to attract international investors through its investor-friendly policies, efficient logistics infrastructure, and strategic location with direct access to global shipping routes.

The Thai delegation also visited PTT Philippines Corporation, whose Subic facility serves as a major petroleum storage and distribution hub supporting energy supply across Central Luzon and other parts of the country.

The visit underscores growing international confidence in Subic Bay as a premier investment destination and reinforces its role as one of the country’s leading economic gateways under the Luzon Economic Corridor initiative. (Royal Thai Embassy, Manila)
