Balanga City, Bataan – The Department of Agriculture – Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (DA-AMAS) has once again opened opportunities for young Filipinos with the relaunch of the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) 2026, a competitive grant program designed to support innovative agribusiness and fisheries ventures.

The initiative targets individuals aged 18 to 30 years old who are eager to engage in agriculture-based enterprises and contribute to the country’s food security and rural development. Through financial assistance and capacity-building support, YFC aims to cultivate a new generation of agri-entrepreneurs equipped with modern and sustainable business ideas.

As part of its rollout, the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III will conduct a Face-to-Face Orientation and Workshop for the Start-Up Category on May 5–6, 2026, at the 5th Floor Training Room 2, The Bunker, Capitol Compound in Balanga City, Bataan.

The activity will walk participants through the program guidelines, selection criteria, and application process, while also providing hands-on guidance in crafting a Business Model Canvas (BMC)—a key component in developing viable and competitive agribusiness proposals.
