IBA, ZAMBALES — From a local diamond to the world arena, a promising youth baseball team from Zambales is set to carry the hopes of the province and the Philippines as they compete in the upcoming World Championship in Missouri, USA.
The San Antonio “Diamond Dreamers” 12-Under Team is preparing for an international showdown, marking a major milestone for grassroots sports development in the province. The young athletes are expected to compete against top youth baseball squads from around the world, showcasing Filipino talent on a global stage.

The team’s international campaign was formally presented to Governor Jun Ebdane during a courtesy visit led by officials of the Zambales Baseball-Softball Charter (ZBSC), headed by President Ernesto B. Concepcion. The delegation also included San Antonio Mayor Arvin Antipolo and Sangguniang Bayan Member Juan Gabriel Angeles, who jointly sought provincial support for the team’s historic journey.
Governor Ebdane expressed strong commitment to back the young athletes, assuring the provincial government’s full support in their preparation and participation in the world competition. He emphasized that investing in young sports talents is an investment in the future of Zambales.
Support also poured in from the Provincial Sports Development Office, represented by Jade D. Ballesteros, reinforcing the province’s continuing efforts to strengthen youth sports programs and athlete development.
With determination and provincial backing, the Diamond Dreamers are now set to bring Zambales pride to the world stage—proving that big dreams can rise from small-town diamonds. (Zambales for the People)
