TIANCHANG CITY, ANHUI PROVINCE, China — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) is exploring potential investments and business partnerships in solar manufacturing as part of efforts to attract Chinese companies to the Freeport Area of Bataan.
AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman led the agency’s China Investment Mission with a plant visit to Anhui Tianda New Energy Co., Ltd. (Tianda Solar), a photovoltaic manufacturer based at the Chuzhou High Tech Zone in Tianchang City.
Pangandaman was accompanied by Head of the Administrator’s Group and Corporate Affairs Department Atty. Percival B. Peralta, and Executive Assistant II and Personal Secretary to the Administrator and CEO Abdul Jabbar Sumandar Hadji Malik.
The delegation was welcomed by Tianda Solar Vice President Yaowei and Overseas Sales Manager Suellen Zou, who briefed the AFAB officials on the company’s manufacturing operations and production capabilities.

The visit provided the AFAB delegation with a firsthand look at key stages of solar panel manufacturing, including cell tabbing and stringing, module lay-up, electroluminescence inspection, lamination, trimming, framing and final packaging for domestic and international markets.
Tianda Solar specializes in the research and development, production and sale of photovoltaic modules and photovoltaic power generation systems. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Anhui Tianda Enterprise (Group) Co., Ltd., or Tianda Group, which has been recognized among China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises and leading manufacturing companies.
Pangandaman said the plant visit forms part of AFAB’s efforts to identify potential investors and strengthen linkages with Chinese enterprises in renewable energy and advanced manufacturing.
The agency is positioning the Freeport Area of Bataan as a competitive location for emerging industries, with investment prospects expected to generate new economic activities, employment opportunities and technology partnerships.
The China Investment Mission also underscores AFAB’s push to expand international business networks and promote Bataan as an investment destination for high-value and sustainable industries.
