OLONGAPO CITY — Olongapo City has crowned its newest tourism ambassadors, with Johnny Morris Jr. and Michaela Jaime Mallory emerging as Mr. and Ms. Tourism Olongapo 2026 during the city’s tourism pageant on September 30.

Morris was named Mr. Tourism Olongapo 2026, while Mallory won the Ms. Tourism Olongapo 2026 title, placing them at the forefront of the city’s efforts to promote Olongapo as a destination for tourism, culture, entertainment and investment.

They will represent the city in various tourism-related activities and public engagements, helping showcase Olongapo’s attractions, local culture and hospitality to visitors.

Joining them in the winners’ circle were Anthony Sebastian Mallory and Samantha Gaile Niebres, who were named first runners-up, and Rham Dhen Paa and Athena, who took the second runner-up honors.

The pageant forms part of Olongapo’s continuing efforts to strengthen its tourism identity and engage young people in promoting the city.

Beyond the traditional beauty-pageant format, the Mr. and Ms. Tourism Olongapo competition provides a platform for candidates to demonstrate their knowledge, confidence and ability to represent the city and its tourism industry.

Olongapo has long positioned itself as a gateway to the Subic Bay area, drawing visitors with its beaches, leisure establishments, cultural attractions and proximity to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The new tourism ambassadors are expected to participate in city events, promotional activities and tourism programs as Olongapo seeks to attract more visitors and strengthen its position as a tourism destination in Central Luzon.

Their reign also comes as local governments across the region increasingly use tourism promotions and destination branding to drive visitor arrivals, support local businesses and generate livelihood opportunities for communities.

With Morris and Mallory carrying the city’s tourism banner, Olongapo hopes to turn the pageant spotlight into a wider platform for promoting its attractions, people and growing tourism economy.
