VICTORIA, Tarlac — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has launched an investigation into the death of a six-year-old girl whose body was discovered in a farm area in Victoria, Tarlac, on June 19, 2026.
According to authorities, the Victoria Municipal Police Station received a report earlier that day regarding the alleged disappearance of the child. Police officers immediately conducted verification and initiated search and follow-up operations to locate the missing girl.
During the course of the search, responding personnel proceeded to a reported location within a farm area where the body of the child was later found.
As a result of the ensuing investigation, authorities took into custody a minor who is believed to be involved in the incident. In accordance with existing laws and procedures concerning children in conflict with the law, the minor was turned over to the appropriate social welfare authorities for proper intervention and disposition.
Police Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, expressed his condolences to the victim’s family and assured the public that a thorough and impartial investigation is underway.
“This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the family as they grieve. We assure them that PRO3 will pursue the investigation with diligence and sensitivity, guided by the evidence and in accordance with the law,” Mendez said.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the child’s death as investigations continue.
