Olongapo City — The City Government of Olongapo has officially adopted a four-day onsite work arrangement following the issuance of Executive Order No. 029, Series of 2026, by City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino, Jr.
The new work setup is in line with national government directives on energy conservation and operational efficiency. Under the order, all city government offices will conduct onsite work from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while Fridays will be designated as a work-from-home day for employees.
The policy aims to reduce energy consumption, promote responsible use of government resources, and help lessen transportation and fuel expenses for government workers while maintaining productivity and service delivery.
Despite the flexible work arrangement, the City Government assured the public that essential and critical services will remain fully operational. Offices such as the City Health Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office, Civil Security & Safety Unit, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, ESMO Garbage Collection, Gordon College, James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital, Motorpool, and the Office of Traffic Management and Public Safety will continue to provide uninterrupted services.

During work-from-home days, government offices will still attend to public concerns through email and other online platforms to ensure continuous access to services.
All department, office, and division heads are also directed to establish internal guidelines for monitoring attendance, performance, and compliance with existing Civil Service Commission rules and regulations.
The Executive Order took effect immediately upon issuance on March 23, 2026, and will remain in force until revoked or amended.
The City Government encourages the cooperation and understanding of the public as these measures are implemented to support energy conservation efforts while ensuring efficient delivery of services.
