MARIVELES, Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) has presented investment opportunities in the Freeport to German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) member companies, promoting the economic zone as a potential base for manufacturing and industrial operations in the Philippines.

The presentation was held on Oct. 14, 2026, during a GPCCI company visit to BFD Global Footwear Manufacturing Inc., an enterprise operating within the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

AFAB outlined the Freeport’s investment ecosystem, key industries and business environment, highlighting opportunities for local and foreign companies seeking to establish or expand their operations in the country.

The visit also allowed the delegation to learn about BFD Global Footwear’s operations and gain insights into the industrial activities and business opportunities available within the economic zone.

Representatives from Siemens Inc., PV² Energie Philippines Inc. and Stamm International Inc. joined the activity, providing AFAB an opportunity to introduce the Freeport’s investment offerings to companies from different business sectors.

The engagement forms part of AFAB’s efforts to strengthen ties with business organizations and expand awareness of the Freeport’s potential as a location for manufacturing and other industrial activities.

By connecting with prospective investors through industry visits and business engagements, AFAB seeks to attract new enterprises and encourage existing companies to explore expansion opportunities within the Bataan economic zone.
