SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Renowned Filipino violinist, music educator, and cultural advocate Alfonso “Coke” Bolipata was honored with the 2025 National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) SUDI National Music Award during the awarding ceremony held on July 28, 2026, at The Metropolitan Theater in Manila, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development, promotion, and preservation of Philippine music and culture.
The prestigious award, presented by the NCCA, recognizes individuals whose lifelong dedication has significantly enriched the country’s musical heritage. Bolipata was cited for his decades of excellence in music performance, education, and cultural advocacy, making him one of the country’s most respected figures in the arts.
Widely known for his commitment to nurturing young Filipino musicians, Bolipata has devoted much of his career to bringing classical music closer to communities through music education, workshops, performances, and outreach programs. The Municipal Government of San Antonio, Zambales, led by Mayor Dr. Arvin “DDok” Antipolo, congratulated Bolipata for the national recognition, describing the award as a source of pride not only for the municipality but also for the entire province of Zambales.
