CLARK FREEPORT — Strengthening workplace peace and employee welfare to boost investor confidence drove the latest seminar organized by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB). The event gathered 105 participants on March 27 at the Clark Event and Conference Hall.
The half‑day program tackled dispute resolution, employee protection, and gender‑safe policies, underscoring Clark’s push to support locators and sustain industrial peace.
CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Jose Miguel de la Rosa, representing CDC President and CEO Agnes VST Devanadera, opened the seminar by stressing the importance of consistent implementation of labor rules.
“What is more important than the rule itself is how we implement it—consistently, collaboratively, and with the welfare of our people in mind,” he said.
De la Rosa also pointed to CDC’s role in workplace and community support.
“This is a place where you work, live, and play. Through our programs and partnerships, we remain here for you—supporting your offices, your communities, and your welfare,”he added.
The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board (RCMB) Region 3 presented the fundamentals of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and emphasized early intervention in workplace issues. The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) outlined benefits under the Employees’ Compensation Program, while NCMB Region III briefed participants on the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313).
Coronation Premium Manufacturing Inc. shared industry practices on building effective Labor Management Cooperation (LMC) frameworks, citing improved communication and reduced operational disruptions as outcomes of stronger cooperation between management and employees.
CDC and NCMB Region III have partnered since 2009 under a memorandum of agreement to provide training, seminars, and orientations promoting conciliation and mediation of labor disputes. Officials said the continuing collaboration reinforces Clark’s position as a competitive and investor‑friendly destination.(PR-CDC)
